Join IWLS for an incredible leadership and educational experience in the wilds of Mexico. Not only does Mexico have beautiful white sandy beaches and sunshine, it is home to snowy mountains that reach up to 18,500ft and jungles teeming with tropical flora and fauna.
Imagine kayaking in the aqua blue waters of the Sea of Cortez, rock climbing in the rugged Sierra Madre Oriental, and ascending steep snow fields in thin air to the summit of Pico de Orizaba high above the surrounding countryside. IWLS leadership and guide training programs in Mexico utilize the unique environment of Mexico while incorporating the specific considerations of leading expeditions in foreign countries.
Aside from being a country with lofty peaks and sandy beaches, the rich culture and language of Mexico provide an excellent educational opportunity. The cultural history students glean from interacting with local people and visiting historic ruins is a valuable life experience.
