-Seriously big water.
"The instructors were great! They were very professional and were a great source of knowledge. On top of that they were also very personable. The only criticism that I have is that they were pretty bad at playing cards :). I would not hesitate to do another expedition with them again, and I have already recommended them to others!"

Thanks again,

River Skills
IWLS river skills courses are held on the wild rivers of Canada’s Yukon Territory and the remote rivers of Ecuador. IWLS students had the first commercial descent of the Primrose River in 2007, with students and instructors incorporating the skills and awareness learned during the course to navigate a challenging, beautiful river. Participants in our river skills courses have the opportunity to explore and learn in a variety of rivers, from large, glaciated rivers of the Yukon to tight, pool and drop canyons. These educational courses teach participants to be safe, knowledgeable and confident leaders on water, incorporating a three-day Swiftwater Rescue course to develop and polish our skills. Imagine paddle captaining a raft through Class III rapids or lining a boat through a Class V rapid. Our backpacking courses explore a variety of rivers and teach skills that will prepare you for a lifetime of safely running rivers.
All of our IWLS river skills courses incorporate the Wilderness Education Association’s outdoor curriculum and Swiftwater Rescue. Upon successful completion, students may receive a certification in outdoor leadership and a Swiftwater Rescue Technician certification.
Join IWLS for a quality education, an exciting adventure and travel to amazing places!
