Yukon Yukon's Kluane National Park and Reserve, along with Alaska's Wrangell - St. Elias and Glacier Bay National Park and British Columbia's Tatshenshini Alsek Park, form the largest international protected area in the world. These parklands are recognized and protected under the UNESCO World Heritage Convention as an outstanding wilderness of global significance.
The historic Yukon River bisects this mighty uninhabited landscape. To this day, the river and land is riddled with remnants from the Gold Rush in the late 1800's that contribute to great learning opportunities.
The Primrose River flows through a series of rugged river canyons interspersed with magnificent lakes in the spectacular Stikine Highlands of Canada's Yukon Territory. The shear beauty of the land and the challenge of the white water make this river a truly unique wilderness paddling destination.
The concentration and variety of wildlife lends itself to incredible viewing opportunities. Bears, moose, fox, sheep, and goats frequent the numerous ecosystems that make up the richness of the Yukon. The beauty and grandeur of this vast land is inspiring to all adventurers in the North.
