Josh’s roots are in the dirty south, where he began climbing 6 years ago throughout Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia. In 2004, he graduated from Berry College with a degree in Anthropology and Religion. Since then, he has spent much of his time in Alaska, making various ascents in the Central Alaska Range, including an unguided ascent of Denali (Mt. McKinley) in 2005. His climbing adventures and photography interests have taken him to every state in the US and various countries in Europe, South America, Central America and Africa. Note: Josh’s only US state highpoints are Denali and Mt. Whitney…..perhaps he’ll be the first to climb them in reverse order?
